Save and Share Reports
What this helps you do: Share reports with others using public links or embeds, and understand when saving is required.
Before you start
You must save the report before it can be shared.
Unsaved reports can be downloaded, but not shared.
How it works
Sharing is available only for saved reports.
Once saved, a report can be shared in two ways:
A public link
An embed code for portals or internal sites
Unsaved reports are intended for private, one-off downloads only.
Save a report
Open the report in the editor.
Make sure filters and layout are set correctly.
Select Save.
Saving creates a reusable report that can be shared or scheduled.
Share with a public link
Public links allow others to view the report without logging in.
Use public links when:
Sending reports to clients or stakeholders
Sharing read-only access
Distributing recurring updates
Open a saved report.
Select Share.
Generate a public link.
Copy and send the link.
Share with an embed code
Embed codes allow you to display a report inside another site or portal.
Use embed codes when:
Embedding reports in client portals
Adding reports to internal dashboards
Centralizing reporting access
Open a saved report.
Select Share.
Generate the embed code.
Paste it into your site or portal.
What shared reports show
Shared reports always reflect:
The latest saved filters and layout
Current data (for dynamic reports)
If you update a saved report, anyone using the link or embed will see the updated version.
Tips
Save reports you plan to share more than once.
Use clear names so links are easy to recognize.
For one-off emails, download without saving instead.
Common questions
