Create a Calendar Report

What this helps you do: Create a report that shows hearings, meetings, and floor activity so you can prepare for what’s happening—and when.

How it works

Calendar reports are built around meetings and events, such as committee hearings and floor sessions.
Bills appear within meetings, but the meeting is always the primary unit.

Once a report is created as a Calendar report, it cannot be changed to a Bill report later.


Step-by-step instructions

1. Start a new report

  1. Open the Reports area.

  2. Select Create report.

  3. Choose Calendar report.


2. Choose your report mode

  1. Select Dynamic (recommended) or Manual.

  2. Leave Dynamic selected unless you explicitly need a frozen snapshot.


3. Review the default filters

When the report opens, you’ll see default settings applied:

  • Date range: This week

  • Groups: None selected

  • Meetings with bills only: Off (varies by account)

The preview will update immediately as filters change.


4. Narrow the meetings you want to see

Use the Filters tab to adjust:

  • Groups – limit meetings to bills in specific client or project groups

  • Date range – next week, last 30 days, or custom dates

  • Meetings with bills only – hide meetings without bills

  • Chambers & committees – focus on specific chambers or committees


5. Adjust how bills appear in meetings (optional)

  1. Open Content & Layout.

  2. Choose whether to:

    • Show only filtered bills, or

    • Show all bills on a meeting agenda.

This is especially useful when meetings contain many unrelated bills.


6. Preview your report

As you adjust filters and layout:

  • The report preview updates instantly

  • You can confirm meetings, dates, and bill details before downloading or saving


7. Download or save the report

  • Download immediately for a one-off report

  • Save the report if you plan to:

    • Share it

    • Schedule it

    • Reuse it later


Tips

  • For weekly planning, most users set Date range = Next week.

  • Use Groups as your primary way to filter client-specific meetings.

  • Turn on Show only filtered bills to avoid long agendas filled with unrelated items.


Common questions

Can I include meetings without bills?
Yes, unless you enable Meetings with bills only.

Why don’t I see some meetings I expect?
Check your date range, group selection, and committee filters.

Can I reuse this report next week?
Yes. Dynamic reports automatically roll forward based on date filters.
