What This Does

Monitor specific legislation and coordinate with your team by assigning tasks, setting priorities, and sharing notes.

When You’d Use This

  • When you need to monitor a bill for any updates.
  • When you want to assign a bill to a specific team member for review.
  • When your team needs to establish a shared position or priority level for a piece of legislation.
  • When you need to see all bills assigned to a particular teammate.

How To Do It

Track a Single Bill

  1. Navigate to a bill's detail page or find the bill in a list.
  2. Click the Track button. The button will change to say Tracking.

Track Multiple Bills at Once

  1. Go to the Bills page.
  2. Use the checkboxes to select the desired bills. You can use the Select All checkbox at the top of the list.
  3. Click the Track button in the toolbar that appears at the top of the list.

Collaborate with Your Team on a Bill

You can add collaboration details like priority, position, assignees, and comments to any bill.

  1. Navigate to the bill's detail page.
  2. Locate the Bill Management & Comments section.
  3. Use the dropdown menus to set a Priority, Position, or add Assignees.
  4. Click Add/View Comments to leave a note for your team.

Add a Bill to a Group

Organize bills into groups to manage them by project, client, or issue area. Adding a bill to a group will also automatically track it for you.

  1. From a bill list or a bill's detail page, click the Group button.
  2. In the modal that appears, select one or more existing groups, or type a new name to create a new group.
  3. Optionally, set the Priority, Position, Assignees, and add comments for the selected group(s).
  4. Click Done.

  1. Go to the Bills page.
  2. Click the Filters button to open the filter sidebar.
  3. Under the User Preferences section, find the Assignees filter.
  4. Select one or more team members from the dropdown menu.
  5. Click Apply.

What Happens Next

  • When you track a bill, it is added to your tracked bills list. You can view all tracked bills by using the Tracking filter on the Bills page.
  • Any priority, position, assignees, or comments you add will be saved and become visible to your team members who have access to the bill.
  • When you filter by an assignee, the bill list will update to show only the bills assigned to the selected teammate(s).

Pro Tips

  • Use the Group button in the toolbar on the main Bills page to add multiple selected bills to one or more groups at the same time.
  • Create groups to organize bills by issue area, client, or project to streamline your team's workflow.

Limitations

  • You can select up to 500 bills at a time for bulk actions, such as tracking or adding to a group.
